The missing

sooooooooo we are 3 days into the new year and I've lost so many things.  It is very unlike me to lose anything so I'm a little unnerved by all the missing items.  As most of you know I lost my driver's license, debit card and credit card on NYE.  I also realized I lost a fresh pack of gum, my metro card (there was only 1 day left on it) and something I was wearing under my dress.  Ok fine, it was annoying to cancel the debit card when I had memorized the 16 digit #, but not the end of the world.  Thankfully I have a passport so should I need to go to a bar or get arrested I will have proper ID.  I came to grips with my losses from that night.  

However, I just went to the movies (Revolutionary Road) with Melin and as we were leaving the theater I reached into my pocket to realize that my BRAND NEW $81 metro card wasn't there.  How can a person who has never lost a metro card in 6 1/2 years have lost TWO metro cards in 3 days????  What is wrong with me?  I'm worried this is a bad trend that is starting in 2009 and I don't like it.  There are too many things that I don't want to lose this year or ever.  

Well, that's all I can write at the moment.  I need a dirty martini (you'll know why once you see RR), but don't have martini glasses.  I'm going to google and see if I have other options for glassware.
